⭐Title: Diabatic population inversion of Bose particles through a swallowtail
Recently, it is shown that a quantum particle in a box can be adiabatically deformed from its ground state into the first excited state through a cyclic operation on a sharp wall within the box . Here we explain an extension of the adiabatic cyclic excitation to Bose particles described by a nonlinear Schroedinger equation. It turns out that the level crossing that appears in the single particle case becomes a swallow tail, which shifts the position of “diabatic crossing point” (cf. ).
